Youseff Baddar for the People
Running as an Independent is no small undertaking. The system is built to keep people divided into one party or another, but what people don't realize is that independence is engrained in our very beings as Americans. We are the majority, and when we come together and tell the parties enough is enough, they will finally be forced to listen to the people they represent and not their party leaders. Join us by donating today or signing up to volunteer in this historic campaign! It won't be easy and it will take all of us but I know we can break the party control and send Congress a clear message that you have chosen to #ReclaimYourIndependence

ISSUES
HEALTHCARE
Healthcare is a human right. As one of the most developed countries in the world I know we can provide healthcare to every single American who needs it without breaking the bank or taking away people’s choice in providers. “People’s Healthcare” will be a strong incentivized and subsidized public option healthcare plan with income based premiums to assure everyone can afford the care they need.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM
Many of us owe our safety and security to the men and women who make up our police force, but until every American can rest easy with that same feeling of safety and security, we have a system that needs reformed. Police should not be responsible for many of the services they are dispatched to handle. We need to provide better and more specialized training programs for police while investing in other community service programs to help alleviate the stress that our police forces are under. We also need to take a hard look at our judicial system in this country that currently serves the rich and guilty much better than the poor and innocent.
EDUCATION
A high quality education is an integral part of every American’s constitutional right to the pursuit of happiness. While I believe that families and students should have the right to choose the education they believe best prepares them for life after graduation, that right cannot come at the cost of siphoning funds away from our public education system. We have to make sure that the public schools that need the most help are funded appropriately instead of continuing to overfund our highest performing schools.
UNEMPLOYMENT
As we continue on our path of recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, we need to be sure every single American who found themselves unemployed can return to work. This presents us with an amazing opportunity to solve two problems with one solution. By investing in clean energy and transferring government subsidies from the fossil fuel industry to renewable energy industries, we will create thousands of new jobs not just in Ohio but in every state. By transferring those subsidies instead of banning fossil fuels outright, we can get Americans back to work and get our country on track to providing a safer environment for generations to come, all without crippling the industries that already employ so many.
